Back to School Preparations

Dear TCA Parents and Guardians,

In about three weeks Trinity Christian Academy will welcome back your student(s) to a new school year. We are very excited to see all the students, staff, and families. For now, we want everyone to continue enjoying this beautiful Cape summer.  As we head deeper into August, we wanted to share some important reminders with you:

Summer Reading:
Keep the learning going! Students in grades 1-12 are expected to complete summer reading which is a great way to build literacy skills and get ready for the new school year. Our summer reading information was sent home with students on the last day of school or in new student welcome packets, but can also be found on our school website linked HERE.

School Uniforms/Supply Lists:
Uniform requirements and supply lists can be found on our school website. If you haven’t done so already, please make sure to order your student(s)’ school uniforms to ensure they arrive before school starts. Now through November 1st (or as long as bulk supplies last), Global Schoolwear is offering our families free logos (about $9 per item) using the promo code: TRIN16FL24 at checkout. Uniforms are required beginning the first day of school.

PICK-UP/DROP-OFF CHANGES:
For Upper School students (students in grades 6-12), school drop off will be from 7:40 am to 7:55 am. Upper School announcement start just before 8:00 am. Upper school students arriving at 8:00 am and thereafter will be considered late.

If an upper school student has a lower school sibling (grades preK-5), they may also be dropped off during this timeframe. Elementary students will be supervised while waiting in the Activity Center until they are dismissed to their classrooms at 7:50 am. All other elementary students may be dropped off starting at 7:50 am.

Lower School (students in grades preK-5) drop off will begin at 7:50 am and continue until 8:05 am. Lower School students will be considered late beginning at 8:10 am and thereafter.

All students in grades 1-12 will enter the building through the main, front door. Students in Pre-K and Kindergarten will be dropped off at the Pre-K/Kindergarten door closest to Mary Dunn Road.

Upper School pick-up will happen from 2:40 pm to 2:55 pm, which will include lower school siblings. Lower School pick-up will happen from 2:55 pm to 3:10 pm.

All students in grades 1-12 will exit the building through the main, front door. Students in Pre-K and Kindergarten will be picked up at the Pre-K/Kindergarten door closest to Mary Dunn Road.

Parking lot reminders:

  • The flow of drop off needs to be steady. If your student is not ready to exit your car when you pull up, please park in the parking lot until they’re ready.
  • Always stay off your cell phones in the drop off/ pick up lines to keep alert.
  • Pull all the way forward to the first available spot near the front sidewalk, even if you may not see other cars in line.
  • Students must always exit/enter vehicles from the passenger side, closest to the sidewalk.
  • Parents, to keep things moving, please remain in your vehicles at all times during pick-up and drop-off.

Fall Sports:
Fall sports sign ups have begun! All sign-up forms and the information you need can be found at trinitychristiancapecod.org. Complete and return to the school or email them directly to our athletic director, Karen Timm, at [email protected].

Fall sports include soccer, girls' volleyball, and coed golf for students in grades 6-12 and the homeschool community. TCA also partners with Forte Ninja and the fall session is open to students in 4th and 5th grade.

Forms/New School App
Please be on the lookout for another email in the next few weeks which will include important forms that need to be completed and returned by the first day of school. It will also include information about our new school app and how to set it up.

and answer a few security questions to confirm your association with the school. We respectfully request that you do not use this site for solicitation or promotion purposes. This includes personal requests and requests on behalf of other organizations.

As we soak in the last few weeks of summer, we want to remind all of you just how important you are to the TCA community.
