Statement of Faith
The statement below reflects what we, as a school, believe.
- We believe that God, in infinite love, has come to mankind in the person of Jesus Christ, that He was born of a virgin, that He lived a perfect life, that he died on a cross to redeem humanity from sin, that He rose from the dead, and that He ascended into heaven from which He will return at the appointed time to judge the living and the dead.
- We believe that both the Old and New Testaments are the infallible, inerrant, inspired Word of God. As 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.”
- We believe that the Father and Son sent forth the Holy Spirit, and that it is by the indwelling and sustaining power of the Holy Spirit that a Christian is enabled to live a life pleasing to God.
- We believe that “unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain,” and we entrust our efforts and the entire enterprise that is Trinity Christian Academy to that Builder. (revised 7-05)
- The statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of Trinity Christian Academy’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our Board of Trustees is the school’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.
- We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26-27). Rejection of one’s genetically defined gender is a rejection of the image of God within that person.
- We believe that marriage is a covenantal relationship between on genetically defined man and one genetically defined woman (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-5). We believe that God created man and woman equally in His image, importance, and value, and in God’s love and wisdom, they were given unique and complementary roles in marriage as a picture of Christ and the Church (Genesis 1:27; Genesis 2:18; Ephesians 5:22-31).
- We believe that God has given the primary responsibility of discipling and teaching children to parents (Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Ephesians 6:1-4; Proverbs 22:6; Psalm 78:1-7). Trinity Christian Academy exists to partner with parents in this journey to equip, strengthen and reinforce biblical teaching at home.
- We believe that life is a gift from God and is precious. We believe that life begins at conception (Psalm 139:13-16; Isaiah 44:2a; Isaiah 49:5a) and each person’s days are numbered by the authority and providence of God alone (Psalm 139:16; James 4:13-15).
- The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of Trinity Christian Academy’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our Board of Trustees is the school’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.
